Learn the technique of making quantity surveys and applying unit prices for a   complete project from the perspective of a general contractor.  Emphasis is placed on site work, concrete and carpentry.  Many area,  volume, linear and piece count items are covered to assemble a complete estimate utilizing a Memphis area project to maximize the learning experience.  This course incorporated  MC/2 estimating software and notebook computers providedduring the class so students get a good understanding of manual takeoff, data entry and working with the software.  Students are responsible for  pencils, architectural scales, basic function calculator and colored pencils or highlighters.
