The Emerging Leaders committee has specific functions outside of the greater chapter. The goal of the Emerging Leaders committee is to cultivate leadership within the young professional membership within ABC.

To do this the committee has to develop and oversee programs that:

• Cultivate leadership development. 
• Recruit new, young industry professionals & business owners. 
• Promote networking and relationships within the construction industry and ABC through a series of social events.
• Provide information on industry activities and opportunities that will enhance and profit the individual, their respective company, and ABC.
• Provide an opportunity for members to invest in their development as the next generation of construction executives.
• Encourage ABC membership growth.

Below is a mission statement from the Middle TN Chapter of Emerging Leaders. We will develop one of our own, but this will give you an idea of the purpose.

Mission Statement:

The objective of the ABC Emerging Leaders is simple: leadership development within ABC and the greater construction industry. It is a vehicle for enhancing an individual's skills as well as a way to become more involved in and rise up the ranks within the ABC itself.
