EPA-Lead Renovator, Remodeler and Painter

July 19, 2010

Contractors Must be Trained in Lead-Safe Practices by April 22 - Limited to 30 participants per class!

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) April 22 will begin requiring
all contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that
disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools
built before 1978 to be certified and follow specific work practices to
prevent lead contamination.

EPA's Lead-Safe Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) program was
established in April 2008 and will affect renovation contractors,
maintenance workers in multi-family housing, and painters and other
specialty trades that disturb an area of six or more feet containing
lead paint.  Under the program, both firms and individual employees will
need to be certified by April 22 to work on projects that contain lead
paint.

Cost for the seminar is $250
